SoCal Weimaraner Rescue is participating in GivingTuesday, the global day of unity and giving.
People demonstrate generosity in many ways on GivingTuesday. Whether it’s helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving to causes we care about, every act of generosity counts. GivingTuesday has raised billions of dollars for critical causes around the world and gets billions of impressions on social media from people and organizations speaking up for the causes that matter to them and encouraging others to get involved in their communities.
Our organization acts tirelessly to save abandoned or unwanted Weimaraner breed dogs in the Southern California region. Weimaraners like Hazel, who was left at a vet severely underweight and scheduled for euthanasia at just 11 weeks old. With our help and the generosity of our supporters, Hazel was able to make a full recovery and gain a wonderful family of her own.“GivingTuesday inspires people all around the world to embrace their power to drive progress around the causes they care about, not just on one day but throughout the year,” said Asha Curran, GivingTuesday’s CEO, and co-founder. “With country and community leaders, millions of organizations, and countless givers of all kinds, GivingTuesday is creating a shared space where we can see the radical implications of a more generous world.”

Sadly, Hazel is just one of many dogs that come through our program. Many of whom may require medical care, spaying/neutering, and general rehabilitation in one of our foster homes before finding their forever home. As a 100% volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization, we can't do this without you!
